Walking breaks in stunning Argyllshire

Set in areas of incredible natural beauty across West Scotland, our stunning locations are what make Argyll Holidays’ parks so special. Whichever park you pick, it will be perfect for a walking holiday, whether you like a leisurely stroll or a serious hike. And with dogs welcome at all our holiday parks, your four-legged friends can also enjoy ‘walkies’ like never before!

What kind of break are you looking for?

Family friendly

All our holiday parks are great for family breaks, but Drimsynie Estate Holiday Village is the perfect choice for family walking holidays. A brilliant place to begin is Drimsynie Circular Walk which starts right outside Drimsynie Estate Hotel. It’s clearly signposted and provides some fantastic views. For more walking routes, chat to one of our team or check out our blog post.

Explore the Highlands and Islands

Loch Awe Holiday Park is in a great spot for discovering some fantastic parts of Scotland. Head west to the fascinating town of Oban, and cross the water to the Isle of Mull. Or head north to explore the glorious Scottish Highlands, a walker’s paradise where you can plan loch-side strolls, hilly hikes or steep mountainous treks with spectacular views.

Untouched Nature

Every Argyll Holidays park offers a stunning location you can while away the hours happily exploring on foot. Why not stay in the heart of nature at stunning Loch Awe and enjoy a peaceful stay surrounded by unspoilt Scottish countryside. Walkers and hikers can truly escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, with brilliant walking routes taking in rivers and lochs, or mountainous routes around the magnificent Ben Cruachan.

Mountains

For mountain hiking holidays in Scotland, choose Drimsynie Estate or Loch Lomond to explore the impressive Arrochar Alps which have four Munros to bag and six Corbetts to conquer. From Loch Lomond Holiday park you can cross the water to hike Ben Lomond, 974 metres high and the most southerly of the Munros.

Lochs

Each of our holiday parks is close to water, but Loch Lomond Holiday park really is right on the bonnie banks. You can of course explore by boat, but walking lets you really soak in the views. At 18 miles all around, or thereabouts, touring the loch on foot is a serious undertaking, but there are many walking routes to choose from to suit every ability.
