With the change in season Argyll changes several times throughout the day, with Cowal in particular a beautiful place to explore.   The annual Cowalfest kicks off from  Friday 5th October til Sunday 14th October.   The aim of Cowalfest is to introduce the wide range of walks to poeple of all ages and fitness levels.  There are walks aimed at varying tastes and interests - for bird and wildlife spotters, family gatherings and history buffs or folks who simply want to get out and about.  

Many local business's are involved too, from art galleries and studios to inns and pubs, so if you want to leave the walking to the more energetic you will still be able to enjoy the Cowal scenery and coastline.

Cowalfest continues to build on the success of new links with the Burgh Hall hosting arts activities and exhibitions, and Seasons Coffee House offering a base for walkers to call in, relax, chat, browse the brochure and book walks and events.

There are also lots of other activities to take part in : children's drama workshops; horse riding; orienteering; exhibitions[ art; theatre and concerts
