A romantic garden walk
There’s something romantic about gardens; the vivid colours, vibrant floral scents, and leisurely strolls through beautiful botanicals. Even on a rainy day - you can’t beat it.
We’re very fortunate to have so many glorious gardens local to us, including Benmore Botanic Gardens, Crarae Gardens, and Ardkinglas. Believe us when we say, there are plenty to choose from.
Step into a fairytale
Some say Scotland is an enchanted, fairytale country - and Argyll is filled to the brim with magical woodlands, serene lochs, crashing waterfalls and fairy pools.
Puck’s Glen is a magical fairytale forest with waterfalls, natural pools, rocky walls and towering trees - and it’s only ten minutes away from Stratheck Holiday Park! The trail winds along a Victorian pathway up a dramatic rocky gorge that is said to be home to cheeky wee spirits.
The clear path continues up through mysterious woodland and steep, narrow gorges where you can wonder at waterfalls, rock pools and wooden bridges.
Another gem of Argyll that makes you feel like you’ve stepped right into a fairytale is Inveraray Castle. Its sheer magnificence resonates through its beautiful gardens and neoclassical interior. Inveraray Castle is one of the earliest Gothic Revival buildings and is just as stunning on the inside as it is on the out.
And, come on, what’s not romantic about a Scottish castle?!
The perfect place for your mini-moon
According to Hitched.com’s 21st Century Bride survey, Scotland is the most popular place to mini-moon in the UK.
If you don’t already know, a mini-moon is essentially a mini honeymoon; think of it as a shorter, staycation-type honeymoon. Mini-moons give couples a well-deserved break away after all the fuss, stress and business of a wedding, and an opportunity to save a little more money for that once-in-a-lifetime trip.
A mini-moon is a fantastic opportunity to wind down and enjoy newly married life with your partner in a beautiful part of the world. And being a romantic, intimate corner of Scotland, surrounded by endless beauty - Argyll is the perfect place for it.
