Join Our World

Argyll Holidays is one of the largest employers in our region, and if we do say so ourselves, one of the best as well!

If you’re thinking about your next career move, take a look at all the reasons we’re a great company to join.

A warm welcome

Becoming part of our team begins even before you start, thanks to the Argyll Holidays Onboarding Plan. This gives you access to your own personal portal on our PeopleHR App, from the moment your contract is issued. Read and sign your documents online, and pop your key info in. Easy peasy.

On Day 1 the People Management team will provide you with your introduction to the company, your uniform – and your log-in for our e-learning system, Highfield. Live-in employees are given access to their accommodation the night before starting, and are greeted by a member of their team to help them settle in.

Next, you’ll meet your Line Manager who will show you around your holiday park, introduce you to your fellow team members and other key departments.

We’ll make sure you get all the training you need to feel right at ease. In your first week, there’ll be online courses as well as plenty of in-person training to get you off to the best possible start.

Welcome

One of the family

When you join us you’re not just starting a new job - you’re joining a family!  You’ll become part of a cross-departmental clan, complete with badge, motto, Clan Chief and High Heid Yins! So not only will you meet your work team members in your first week, you’ll also be welcomed by your clansfolk across all the various parts of Argyll Holidays, from Loch Awe to Dunoon and across to Loch Lomond.

So whether you’re Clan Bheula, Clan Cruachan, Clan Donich or Clan Lomond, you’ll be part of a big family from Day 1.   You can help their success by earning “bawbees” as you progress through your training, get involved in charity or community initiatives or compete in the Clan Games.

And at the end of the year, just like a family, we celebrate!

A workplace like no other

A job with benefits

Our people are amazing - but our locations? They’re something else! We have eight holiday parks and they’re set in some of the most scenic spots you’re ever likely to see. Surrounded by serene lochs and majestic mountains, our team often tell us how much they enjoy coming to work and being surrounded by so much natural beauty. They’re stress-relieving not stressful!

There’s so much to do in and around our parks. From spectacular walks to cycling, fishing and kayaking. Drimsynie Estate even has its own 9-hole golf course!

All of our parks are dog-friendly too – even down to restaurants and leisure complexes! So if you’re a fan of our canine cousins, you’re going to love meeting new four-legged friends around the place.

Let your qualities shine

Our clans are driven by our core values.

Bold leaders

You don’t have to be a manager to be a leader. With good decision making, initiative and forward-thinking you can lead by example and inspire the rest of your team.

Quick to respond

Whether it’s a customer in need of assistance or a great idea to make a way of doing things better, it’s acting on that quick flash of inspiration that makes all the difference.

Resilient

If you don’t get something right the first time, or if things don’t go your way, don’t lose heart. Dust yourself off and try again – you can do it!

Legendary

Each and every member of our team is unique – and that’s why we value them. At Argyll Holidays you have the chance to play to your strengths, and shine.

Healthy & Happy

At Argyll Holidays we encourage our team members to make full use of the benefits which encourage physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle – like our gyms and pools! But your mental health is equally important. We provide emotional support and development with our Wellbeing Wednesdays, monthly ‘Actions for Happiness’ and our connection with workplace support organisation Able Futures. We also have qualified mental health first aiders in-house who can provide first-line emotional support and signposting for any team member.

We listen, recognise… and reward!

You can feel confident that you will always be listened to, with regular employee surveys and more throughout the year that we take very seriously and act on wherever possible. You can also have your say in the votes for the Clan High Heid Yins, and the Achievers’ Awards. These are voted for by the population of Argyll Holidays; our Achievers’ Night celebration rewards people across all areas of the business for their contribution to the company’s success in a grand Clan Gathering each year.

But we don’t just wait for our annual celebration to recognise the outstanding contribution made by individual team members. With our A+ Awards, every person is empowered to nominate others if they observe an outstanding act of customer service. If you go above and beyond to make our guests’ experience really special - that deserves recognition.

We value you – and your great ideas. There are clan bawbees and A+ Awards up for grabs for the best commercial and environmental suggestions that are implemented.

We invest in you

Our team have the most up to date expertise in their field thanks to our regular training and Personal Development Programmes. We regularly create ad hoc training courses and engage leading industry and public sector training providers too.

We invest in you because we want you to stay and have a long and rewarding career with us. We have an ethos of progression from within. “Commence, Develop, Progress” is our core Learning and Development Programme, tailored to each individual team member.
