Couple tie the knot by Loch Eck

Holiday homeowners Lynn and Gerry Hughes tied the knot on Loch Eck recently. The newly wed couple met 18 months ago at the beginning of lockdown and decided to buy their dream home away from home at Loch Eck Country Lodges.

Having returned to live in Glasgow after 37 years, the couple decided that Argyll was the perfect distance for them to travel to their own wee piece of paradise.

Their big day went without a glitch. Gerry said, “it was pelting it down all day but as the piper started playing the sun came out for an hour and a half while we got married.”

Lynn added “it’s so beautiful here and our holiday home neighbours all came out to see us get married which was so lovely. It’s such a wee community spirit here.”

Due to restrictions the newly married couple were only allowed six guests at their wedding, however they hope to celebrate with more family and friends when they’re able to do so.
