We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Helensburgh where we met a lovely husband and wife who own Peninsula Trikes. They were extremely friendly and spent an hour or more chatting to us. We then spent an hour on the bikes where we stopped to hear the history of various locations and then went on the enjoy our trip. I would recommend the trike ride to anyone and will defiantly be going back for another day.
We also made the most of the onsite Bike Hire and enjoyed a cycle on the mountain bikes. This was a great way to explore the estate and a fun way to spend the afternoon.
The Fyne Ales Brewery is something we had never done before and was very interesting. The girl who took us round was very friendly and told us everything about the history of the micro-brewery. We were shown the old brew house as well as the new one and we were allowed to have a look at the beer whilst it was still in the process of getting made. At the end of the tour we were given a bottle of our choice to take home and some dog biscuits made from the barley which our dogs both enjoyed - Thoroughly recommend!
Next on our holiday was a trip to the historic Inveraray Castle - It was fantastic to walk around and learn all about the history of the area, taking in the various things on display. The castle itself was absolutely stunning and set in beautiful gardens, where we wandered about and enjoyed a spot of lunch.
Our final Active Family partner visit was to Argyll Adventure - just outside Inveraray - where we spent two hours on a pony-trek along Loch Fyne and the nearby area; some of the most incredible scenery we'd ever seen from one of our holidays. We were lucky enough to spot some red squirrels in among a whole host of rare wildlife. Overall the team were super-friendly and the horses were amazing - We'd love to return!
We had one of the best holidays ever and were blown away by how stunning Drimsynie Estate - and Argyll as a whole - were. The local attractions were all amazing and we made memories to last forever!
