2 - Sample award-winning Seafood

3 - Be Adventurous

4 - Explore a new Island
Argyll has 25 inhabited islands – more than any other region in the country – so what better time to take a trip somewhere new. Cal Mac run regular ferry services to many of these islands, whilst Cruise Loch Lomond offer daily cruises to various islands on the loch. Loch Awe Holiday Park is situated just a short drive from the ferry terminal at Oban, making it the ideal base for exploring the islands.
5 - Captain your own Boat
Nestled on the shores of Loch Goil, just minutes’ from Drimsynie Estate Holiday Village, Loch Goil Cruisers have a fleet of boats for hire. These are perfect for enjoying the stunning scenery, the diverse wildlife, on-board picnic-ing and fishing. Take a boat out with friends and enjoy all that this stunning loch has to offer. 6 – Catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights
There is an abundance of dark skies across Argyll, making it ideal for stargazing on a clear night. Watching the iconic northern lights is high on the bucket lists of many, and there’s no better place for it. You can explore some stargazing locations here.
7 – Bag a Munro
Want to test that stamina? Climbing a mountain is one thing, but in Scotland there are 282 mountains with a summit of more than 3000ft, including 19 right here in Argyll & the Isles. These can be challenging, but you’ll be rewarded with incredible views. If you fancy something a little lengthier, then we also have various long distance routes near our holiday parks, including the Loch Lomond & Cowal Way and the West Highland Way.
8 – Take an alternative method of Transport
A road trip is great fun, but what about exploring the sights of Argyll from an alternative mode of transport? 9 – Admire the Argyll Sunset
With the longer evenings, comes breath-taking sunsets.
