Located in the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Lochgoilhead sits at the head of Loch Goil, a fjord type sea loch. Only 1 hour from the Erskine Bridge, Glasgow Airport, the M8 and Glasgow. Arriving in Lochgoilhead village is always exciting as you drive to the summit of the Rest-and-be-Thankful pass (take time to pull into the viewpoint to enjoy the grandeur of the Arrochar Alps) before descending to the village via a 6 mile single track road. This is a special place, surrounded by hills, with superb loch views, as well as a wide range of accommodation, leisure activities and entertainment.

Highlights

The apartments are centrally located in the village nearby the Lochgoilhead Hotel and restaurant and convenient for the shore of Loch Goil. The Drimsynie Estate Leisure Centre is 1 mile away. Each apartment has a lounge and dining area and well equipped kitchen. Colour TV, DVD and Hi-Fi. Next door to the Lochgoilhead Hotel and restaurant. Some apartments have access at ground level. Other apartments are 2 or 3 storeys. Parking in the rear. All of our accommodation is non smoking.

1 bedroom apartments - No's 4 and 9

Sleep 2. Note: Apartment 4 has a double sofa bed in the lounge so can sleep 4. Access from ground floor. Lounge, dining area, kitchen and bathroom. bedroom with twin beds which can be converted into a double bed. Both apartments have a bath and a shower. Apt. 4 pet welcome, Apt 9 no pet.

2 bedroom apartment - No 3

Sleep 4. Two storey holiday apartment with ground floor access. Lounge/diner with FreeSat 42in plasma TV and DVD. Fully fitted kitchen with fridge freezer. Toilet downstairs, bathroom upstairs. Two bedrooms, double and twin. Back and front garden. Parking for one car to the rear.

3 bedrooms apartment - No 5

Sleep 6. Located within Lochgoilhead village with views of Drimsynie Estate and surrounding mountains. The accommodation is over 2 floors, with access from the ground floor. Full central heating. Lounge with SKYTV, DVD player and video player. (Hi-fi located in bedroom). Kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer and dining table. Full bathroom with shower plus second shower room/wc. 1 master bedroom with king-sized leather bed, 1 double bedroom and 1 twin room. Parking to the rear. Sorry – no pets allowed.

3 bedrooms apartment - No 6

Sleep 6. Views to Loch Goil and surrounding countryside. Accommodation over 2 floors with access from ground floor. Lounge with Sky TV and Sky Plus, DVD & Hi-Fi. Separate kitchen with dining table. Full bathroom and separate shower room/wc. 1 master bedroom and 2 twin bedrooms. Parking to the rear. Sorry – no pets allowed.

3 bedrooms apartment - No 10

Sleep 6. Access from first floor. Lounge with adjacent area and separate kitchen. Full bathroom with seperate shower stall plus second wc/wash basin. 1 double, 1 twin and 1 bunk room on 3 floors. Pet welcome.

Carrick Apartments - Carrick Castle village - pet welcome
Sleep 4. The village of Carrick Castle is a destination of choice. Just 5 miles further down Loch Goil from the Drimsynie Estate, this is a location that truly reflects it’s ‘peace & tranquility’ location. The village is a collection of houses spread out along the shoreline with beautiful views north up Loch Goil and south to Loch Long. Pleasant walks along the loch side or take off into the hills. For the more energetic there is a marked walk from Carrick to Ardentinny. If fishing is your thing then you simply walk over the road and fish for free from the shore side. Click for location map

Uninterrupted loch and mountain view to the front and to Carrick Farm and the hills to the rear. The apartments are located between a house and a tenement building. Nearby is a cleared area of land ready to be developed. Check-in and check-out is at the Drimsynie Estate, 5-miles before you reach the apartment. In our opinion these are comfortable and spacious properties in a real get-away-from-it-all location, ideal for a quiet and relaxing break. Shops, restaurants and activities are to be found on the Drimsynie Estate and in Lochgoilhead village. Priced the same as a 3 bedroom Lochgoilhead Apartment.
