From your base at Loch Awe Holiday Park you are well placed to explore dramatic unspoilt scenery within easy travelling distance. How about visiting one, or more, of the Inner Hebrides using the Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries operating from Oban. Day trips are possible to Mull, Iona or even Fingals Cave on Staffa. If you head north over the Connel Bridge the route takes you past the scenic Castle Stalker to magnificent Glen Coe. The visitor centre is well worth a visit to learn about the history of this famous glen. Head south from Loch Awe and follow the coastline down to the Mull of Kintyre with views to Jura. Day trip options include the Island of Gigha which is now owned by the locals, as well as the scenic Crinan Canal. Kilchurn Castle on Loch Awe and Inveraray Castle by Loch Fyne are worth visiting.

Golf is available nearby at Taynuilt and Oban as well as Dalmally - a gem of a 9-hole course. Fishing is available at the nearby Loch Awe Fisheries. Loch cruises on Loch Awe and Loch Etive. There is a whole lot to do – suggestions listed below.
